How Does My Vehicle Get Valued?

When we value your vehicle, it will be thoroughly checked over, including the engine bay and running gear underneath. We would highly advise to make sure that your vehicle is clean before the inspection, as we will be able to give you a more accurate valuation. Every angle of your vehicle will be checked from the paintwork, stitching on the seats and general wear and tear, etc will all be part of the valuation and if any faults or damage is found, this will reduce the valuation. Our calculator below doesn't take these factors into account, so please do use it as a rough guide. 

What Vehicles Do You Accept?

We accept any vehicle, which could be powered by petrol, diesel or electric. They can be vehicles which have been used for private or commercial use! However, it must meet some certain criteria.

• It needs to be working and sensible order.
• You must provide proof that you own the vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my valuation appointment?

• Vehicle Documents:
• V5C logbook
• Service history (if available)
• Any extras (e.g. locking wheel nut).

Personal Details:

• Photographic proof of ID (e.g. driving license or passport).
• Proof of address from the last 9 months (e.g. utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement). 

Financial details:

• Your bank account details (so we can set up the payment).
• If your car has outstanding finance, an in-date letter from the car finance company confirming the settlement amount.

If you do decide to sell your car, you will be leaving your car with us. Please ensure that you have made arrangements for your return journey. 

What vehicles do you buy?

We buy cars and vans with:

• Outstanding finance.
• Private registration plates.
• Damage (or in need of repairs).
• Less than 6 month’s MOT.
• Import status.

You can also sell a vehicle on behalf of a family member, friend or company (including in the case of bereavement). In these circumstances, it is necessary to bring extra documentation. If your car does not have a valid MOT, is SORN (or a non-runner) or has no tax we can still buy your car, but you will need to arrange for it to be transported to the branch ahead of your appointment.
